Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
Short version: the tools work without an account, your preferences stay in your browser, the API logs nothing beyond ordinary web-server access lines, and there are no third-party trackers, fonts or CDN scripts on any page.
What we store in your browser
- Preferences — one local-storage key, utc:prefs:v1, holding your theme, 12/24-hour choice, which format rows you show and in what order, your snippet language, your pinned timezones and your default landing tool. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
- Session cookie — set only if you sign in or submit the contact form; the tool pages and API do not need one.
- CSRF cookie — set when a page contains a form, to prevent cross-site request forgery.
Clearing your browser storage resets everything. There is also a Reset to defaults control on the homepage that clears the preference key directly.
What our servers log
Standard web-server access logs: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, response status, user agent and referrer. These are used for debugging, abuse prevention and rate-limit enforcement, and are rotated on a short schedule. We do not build profiles from them and do not sell or share them.
Values you convert are not logged. The client-side converters never send your input anywhere. Where a conversion happens server-side, the value appears in the URL and therefore in a normal access log line, and is not stored anywhere else.
The API
API requests are logged the same way as page requests. We do not require a key, do not fingerprint callers, and deliberately do not offer IP-based geolocation — which also means we have no reason to hold a geolocation database or enrich your address with anything.
What we do not do
- No Google Analytics or third-party analytics scripts.
- No advertising or retargeting pixels on the tool pages.
- No external fonts or CDN assets — every stylesheet, script and font is served from this domain, so no third party sees your IP just because you loaded a page here.
- No sale or sharing of personal data. There is essentially none to share.
Accounts, if you make one
Accounts exist for billing on future paid tiers and are entirely optional for the free tools and API. If you create one we store your email address, a hashed password, and any payment records associated with your purchases. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your card number. You can delete your account and its data at any time from your account page.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are stored so we can reply, along with the email address you supply. A CAPTCHA is used to block spam.
External links
"Add to calendar" buttons link out to Google Calendar and Outlook. Following one hands your event details to that provider under their privacy policy, not ours. The .ics download is generated in your browser and touches no third party.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK or a comparable jurisdiction you have the right to access, correct, export or delete any personal data we hold about you. For anonymous use of the tools, we hold none. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published here with an updated date. If a change materially affects how data is handled, it will also be noted on the homepage.
